Micro-computed tomography assesment of structural microporosity and marginal gaps in different flowable composites placed with different instruments

چکیده
Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the structural microporosity (MP) and marginal gap (MG) different flowable composite resins placed with instruments using micro-computed tomography (μCT).
Materials Methods: Standard Class II MOD cavities were prepared on 108 lower third molar teeth. Three resins; Filtek Bulk-fill, SDR Bulk-fill I-Flow conventional resin applied a sharp explorer, microbrush or an injector. After they covered paste-like nanohybrid resin, μCT images examined in terms MP MG. Statistical analysis data performed two-way ANOVA Tukey’s post hoc tests. Results: observed less explorer group than injector groups (p < 0.05). There no significant difference between > i-FLOW showed highest rate compared other two In MG, presented higher MG values materials 0.05), while similar results Conclusions: Additional occluso-gingivally vibration may be useful placement. are better

Correlation Between Tissue Densities in Computed Tomography and Three Different Cone-Beam Computed Tomography Units (In Vitro)
Background and Aim: Bone density is of great assistance in the selection of the proper implant site. The present study aimed to assess the correlation between tissue densities in computed tomography (CT) and three different cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) units. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive study, a radiographic phantom consisting of a transparent polymethyl methacrylate (PM...

Marginal gap repair with flowable resin-based composites.
This study was designed to test the hypothesis that the flowable/dentin interface has the weakest bond and highest frequency of failure when a resin-based composite is repaired using a flowable composite. Comparing three specific groups--dentin, flowable composite, and hybrid composite-under the Kruskal-Wallis test showed that the mean bond strength values at the flowable/dentin interface and w...
متن کاملStructural Index of Metal Matrix Composites Evaluated with Computed Tomography
X-ray computed tomography (CT) techniques have been used to evaluate a structural index of high performance metal matrix composites (MMC). Beside of classical features like the determination of number of fibres and eccentricity of fibre bundles an order parameter can be defined and demonstrated for the SiC fibre arrangement in Ti-MMC, which can be used to assess these materials. The samples for...
